Thomas, McNerney & Partners' members have more than 100 years of combined experience in the health care industry, including more than 60 collective years of health care venture capital and private equity experience. The team currently includes nine investment professionals: James Thomas, Pete McNerney, Alex Zisson, Pratik Shah, Ph.D., Eric Aguiar, M.D., Kathy Tune, Christine Siu, Jason Brown, Ph.D., and Anya Schiess. Prior to co-founding Thomas, McNerney & Partners, James headed the medical technology practice at Warburg Pincus LLC ("Warburg"), a leading private equity firm he joined in 1989 and Pete headed the health care investment team at Coral Ventures, a venture capital firm co-founded by Pete in 1992. Alex was formerly a Managing Director who led health care research for Hambrecht & Quist before becoming JP Morgan's Health Care Strategist. Pratik was most recently Chief Business Officer and co-founder of Kalypsys, a biopharmaceutical company focused on drug discovery and development. Eric was a Managing Director at HealthCare Ventures, where he served on various Boards and previously was CEO of Genovo, Inc. Kathy was previously a medical device analyst at Piper Jaffray, Christine was formerly a member of Warburg's medical technology group, Jason was previously a member of the investment team at Forward Ventures and Anya was formerly in sales and marketing at Medtronic.
